At Cranleigh we promote and greatly value connections with parents/ carers and families.  Apart from involvement through the Parents and Citizens Assocation or School Board, we encourage strong communication links between home and school.  Students have communication books for daily news transfer between home and school, and contact with the school can be made through phone calls, via emails or visiting the school to see programs, facilities or other activities.  We hold meetings early in term one each year to establish connections and teachers. The executive team and school counsellor are readily avialable to meet with parents/ carers.

Family Support Worker

Dear Parents and students of Cranleigh School,

My name is Samantha Gill, I have been recently employed as the Family Support Worker (FSW) at Cranleigh School. It is a pleasure to be part of such a wonderful school community. The students of Cranleigh School have many strengths and I am looking forward to meeting the families behind such capable and creative young people.

The FSW aims to provide care and general social and emotional support to help build resilience and promote student wellbeing. Support may be offered through group work, structured play activities, informal contacts and individual support.

The Family Support Worker at Cranleigh School is
federally funded by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) as part of the National School Chaplaincy and

Student Welfare Program. The program is administered through Good Beginnings Australia, a not for profit organisation.

If you would like more information about the FSW role, or would like to speak with me directly, please contact the school.
