A specialist teacher position combines PE & hydrotherapy/swimming. Every child spends some time each week in the school's pool, either engaged in hydrotherapy or learning to swim. They also spend some time in the gym with activities designed to meet their needs and levels of ability.

A school Counsellor from the ACT Department of Education and Training provides assessment and counselling services.

We have a full time nurse employed by ACT Health to help to meet the diverse medical needs of our students. She is also interested in improving the general health levels of our students and staff by improving hygiene practices, educating parents in health issues via the newsletter and monitoring Occupational Health and Safety issues.

Professional development of staff is ongoing, with staff attending system courses and school based courses at regular professional development meetings. Professional development days, when students are not at school, are an integral part of this process providing the whole school staff with the opportunity to participate.
